Does txting make me bilingual?

In one of our class discussions, we talked about this new language that is quickly emerging in our digital world: texting. For a moment I thought, well I can text so does that mean I can add this as a language on my resume? It wouldn't hurt considering its being used internationally. But can it really be considered a new language if it not spoken and has no rules of grammar? I don't think so. I see it as a new code, like morse code. Wait... I just had a quick thought. What about American Sign Language? That's not spoken. Or, Braille? Is it considered a language? I guess it's more complicated than I thought. I have a feeling this might spark a whole new debate from the linguists in our class! :)
